Monthly Health Tip - February

The Heart Matters: Valentine’s Day, Self-Love, and Your Health

February tends to focus on romantic love — dinners, flowers, and celebrating the people who matter most.

But Heart Health Month reminds us of something just as important: the relationship we have with ourselves.
Before we can show up fully for others, we have to take care of the one heart that keeps us going. Prioritizing our health — without apology and without waiting — is one of the most meaningful forms of self-love.

Loving yourself means investing in your own health, even when life feels busy.

It means slowing down enough to notice how you’re actually feeling, asking questions when something doesn’t seem right, and addressing concerns before they become problems.

It also means paying attention to the relationship you have with your physician. Continuity matters — and feeling genuinely cared for matters. If you cannot say you truly love your doctor or the relationship you have with your doctor, it may be time to find a new one. You deserve a physician who knows you, listens to you, and advocates for you.

Valentine’s Day encourages us to care for others.

Heart Health Month encourages us to care for ourselves. Together they offer a simple reminder: the people who love us want us here — healthy, present, and feeling well.

This February, consider small acts of self-love that support your heart: better sleep, a walk outside, stress management, a nutrition reset, or finally establishing continuity with a physician who understands your goals and your history.

If you’re ready for a better relationship with your health, we’re here for you.
